2022-23
Giving consideration to our current tepid response to and tolerance for global conflicts and the impending climate catastrophe, these paintings address a collective normalization of a history of violent subjugation, injustice and contamination. Attention is given to specific periods of turmoil and decay, by revisiting certain pillars of the Western canon through the, at times, self-involved lens of the modernist ideal.
